Over the last few years UK hotels have upped their game with their coffee shops. Historically hotels had large grand restaurants or grubby canteen type restaurants but all that has changed. Most major hotel brands now having modern coffee shops, with smart uncomplicated menus and a vast arrays of drinks, other than coffee.
My current favourite is Burr on Russell Square. It is part of the Kimpton Hotel but it is close to the Euston Square tube station and it a great little place to meet. I would use it even if I wasn’t staying at the hotel. It has everything you need in this modern day and age. You can take your laptop or tablet and surf the net. There are plugs to charge your devices at almost all of the tables. There is a great drinks menu and a menu for breakfast, brunch and evening. It is always buzzing late afternoon and evening. There is table service and the food is delicious.
