Do you remove Reviews, if asked

Most of us have left reviews now and then, using Trip Advisor, Trust Pilot or the actually suppliers website.

However, what do you do if the service provider contacts you about your review?

I have had comments back, on Trip Advisor and been messaged on Trip Advisor. I have also had comments back on Trust Pilot.

I have been given complimentary meals, no strings attached.

I have been given complimentary stays at hotels on the proviso that when I have a Five Star time I give a Five Star review.

But what do you do when you are contacted and offered a complimentary stay but asked to remove your review?

To be honest that is just using a bribe to try and get what they want. Your review was correct at the time you left it and no amount of freebies is going to suddenly miraculously make the way you were treated change so why should your review Change?
They need to accept that they got it wrong and that in the future their customer service will warrant a good review from you. If everyone who left a bad review was persuaded to remove it then it would not give future guests the correct information they need to make an informed decision on whether to stay there or not.
So I would say definitely don’t remove it.
