If you complain about something in a hotel, a service or meal, what do you expect from the company?
You can complain at the time, which personally I think it is the best thing to do, or you can complain after the event?
If you complain at the time, do you consider what you want them to do about your complaint? Reduce the price of you meal, bring you a new meal or comp some drinks?
If it is a hotel, a new room, an upgrade a reduced rate. What you get at a hotel will depend on the severity of the complaint and what is also available. You need to consider what is acceptable.
You always need to ask for the Manager, the Duty Manager or if on a Cruise, the Purser, and don’t be fobbed off.
Always consider what you want and how reasonable your complaint is and what you expect to make things right.
Just remember, what you ordered should be as described, as if you were ordering something like clothing on-line.
Sometimes if you write a review on a website and the complaint has been dealt with the company comments asking you to contact them. In some cases, they do offer recompense but in others they don’t follow through, so just remember that.
