Last night, I watched a programme on TV about Corinthia at Christmas. I know I am a bit behind on my TV watching!
The programme talked a lot about their customers and how they liked to make things special for their customers, but they wanted to do more for regulars.
I wondered about this – do you think your should have special treatment if you are a regular at a hotel?
We were treated better, as we were regulars at two hotels. All the staff knew us and came to see us. One of the hotels never re-opened after the pandemic, but we always felt at home there. The other one just changed, the staff no longer even acknowledged us and it felt uncomfortable, not homely at all. We haven’t been back since that happened.
Personally I expect a bit of special treatment for loyalty but perhaps that is because I have been a recipient of special treatment.
