We just returned from a Cruise, it wouldn’t have been my choice of Cruise, as it went round the British Isles, but when you want a Wheelchair Accessible Suite, or even Cabin, you choices are limited last minute.
We always go for a Suite, I think once you have done it, you can’t go back to a Cabin, so a Cruise of the British Isles was our only option.
When we boarded, we wondered how it would work out. We knew there were several ports where you couldn’t get off, with a wheelchair, but we didn’t mind.
This Cruise was just amazing, it was more than the Ports. Those who had Suites had Access to a Concierge Lounge and this was a real social hub. Most of us turned it into a Social place. You could go in there any time and you would always find someone in there. You could have breakfast, lunch and snacks in there and it was wonderful.
The Group in there were special people, most of us will remain in touch.
Whilst a holiday is about the things you do and the places you visit, it is also about the people you meet.
We had a meal at The Chef’s Table and did a tour of the Bridge.
The Cruise was just amazing and as much as it wasn’t what I would have chosen it is the best Cruise we have ever done and I think we are at 20 Cruises now.
