I recently revisited bookings I had made for a trip. I thought my bookings were great properties and I was really looking to see if there had been a price drop at the hotels.

I was also looking if the properties I had booked had what I really wanted when I booked.

My necessities were TV, WiFi, Hot-tub, Parking, Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer.

When checking on one booking, I got sidetracked and started to read its eviews. One of the properties had a very low score from one reviewer and the property only had a few reviews. The reviewer said the property description wasn’t truthful as the property was on an industrial estate, between a Car Hire Company and a Chemical Factory. This didn’t sound ideal or what I wanted, so I went onto Google Maps to check it out, and there it was, in the middle of an industrial estate. A Car Hire Company across the road and a Chemical Factory surrounding it on three sides.

Well, I have now cancelled and rebooked a new property, which is in the countryside – Google Maps confirms this.

My to do list now notes when booking hotels and properties for holidays – check google maps, thank goodness I read the reviews and special thanks to the person from Australia who wrote it.
