What would you do?

We checked into one of our favourite hotels early, which was amazing.  It is so nice when your room is ready.

It was 1.00pm and we left our bags and went out, as we were due to go to the theatre. We didn’t notice much about the room.

The show was cancelled, the wheelchair broke down – you could say it wasn’t our day, as were back in the  room in no time.

When we arrived back, we noticed the room was extremely cold, so we asked a staff member to set the heating for us. We soon found it was no warmer, so we called Reception, they said they would send Maintenance and a portable heater. An hour later Maintenance arrived – no sign of a portable heater. They eventually said they had fixed the problem but it was 7.00pm before the room was finally warm. We had drawn the curtains and we were wearing fleeces but we were still cold.

We went out for Happy Hour and for Dinner, so we did keep warm. I returned in between, but it still wasn’t warm. Finally at 7.00pm it was warm.

What would you have done? This is a Five Star Hotel so I don’t expect a room like this.

I expect them to know if heating isn’t working and to fix it quicker.
