Happy Easter

Easter has changed a lot over the years.

I remember children with a selection of Easter Eggs, families going to Church, receiving Easter Cards and new clothes. Eating Hot Cross Buns and Simnel Cake and Lamb for Dinner on Easter Sunday.

It felt like a mini Christmas, without the presents, but with more chocolate. I don’t remember Adults having Easter Eggs, when I was a child.

Now, Easter is bigger, bolder and more commercial. The Easter Eggs are far bigger and pricier than I could have ever pictured when I was a child some cost over £300. Adults buy each other presents, an Easter Egg, flowers or wine. There are still Easter cards around but the cards, in general, are dying down, as they are expensive to buy and post, plus they are not green.

This year, we bought each other small Easter Eggs, we ate them before Good Friday – life can be stressful sometimes and chocolate is good for stress. We also indulged in Tahini and Orange Bejewelled Brownies by Sabrina Ghayour they were expensive’ but Wow!

Enjoy your Easter, whatever you may be doing – Happy Easter.
