What A Pleasant Surprise

We often go to the theatre as I am sure you know if you are regular reader of this blog.

Often when I blog, I feel I have issues that have, in the main, not been positive.

We went to the theatre recently to see Cabaret. We have to pre-plan as there is limited wheelchair spaces. I think there are two in the theatre but I have only ever seen one on sale.

When we arrived we took our normal seats, we had seen another wheelchair user in the theatre bar but sometimes people transfer, so we didn’t think anything of it. We had been sat there a few minutes when a staff member came to say there had been a ticket problem, not with our tickets but they wondered if we would mind moving to the other wheelchair space, on the opposite side of the theatre.

We didn’t mind moving at all, nice to sit in a difference place. The theatre couldn’t have been nicer about it. They came back to check we were OK several times and even gave us a discount on drinks.

This was how to look after a patron and keep everyone happy – other companies please note.
