It has been a while since I mentioned Christmas but it is certainly not to early to mention it, as it fast approaches.
What are your plans? Eating and drinking? Meeting up with family members you only see now and then, being home alone or going away to get away from it all.
Christmas seems to start earlier and earlier each year. I remember when I would return to school for the Autumn Term the Children’s Annuals were soon on sale and I was often gifted them for my birthday. At that time there might be the odd shop with Christmas chocolates but now there was Christmas drinks, chocolates, cards and presents all on sale and on display early in September.
I know I might be in the minority but I hate Halloween with a passion and I wish it didn’t exist but as it does can we still not start Christmas until after Halloween. Personally I don’t entertainment anything Christmas until after Thanksgiving. I may not be from USA but I have had enough family and friends out there that I have been gift Thanksgiving decorations and normally make some sort of Thanksgiving meal, I have a famous Pumpkin Pie but this year I bought a Thanksgiving Meal and I loved it – although it was short of Pumpkin Pie but Pecan Pie was pretty good.
Once again we find ourselves celebrating in the same way sort of way. We have two pantos to attend and a trip to see the new musical Paddington. We are also spending some time at a Spa to relax and re-charge our batteries. I think most people have had a difficult year.
What ever you do enjoy and if you are alone at Christmas -remember it is just one day in the year that is different to other days.

Merry Christmas
