How many people plan holiday or trips away and book direct?
We always pre-book but on a cancellation basis, when we can, meaning we can book but cancel up to 24 hours before arrival.
There are a couple of reasons for this. One being that as Dave has Parkinson’s, sometimes we have to cancel late notice and we don’t want to have to lose money or have to claim on the insurance. The other being the price often changes and you can cancel and rebook.
It is more difficult to do now, as we need to book specific rooms, but I have been known to save £650 on a 10 day holiday, by cancelling and rebooking.
It is always worth checking out.
