We stay at a lot of different hotels and normally we opt for the big Brands, Hilton, IHG and Marriott. IHG is the one we use most, as we have a high loyalty status with them.
On a recent trip we had chosen to stay at Hilton Hotel, Liverpool. We tend to choose Hilton or Marriott, in the North of England, as they have hotels with parking, at a price, but that is really important when you have a wheelchair and heavy cases.
At the end of our trip we decided to spend a night in Chester and again we stayed at Hilton.
The DoubleTree Hilton in Chester looked good, set in its own grounds, it had a Spa and plenty of parking.
When we arrived, the grounds looked lovely and Reception area looked spacious and inviting. We had to wait for our room to be ready but there was plenty of room in the Reception area and many seats.
Once we were given the keys to the room we were delighted. The room was a large accessible room, as we walked in we could see a bedroom area on the right and a lounge area on the left. We had a sofa, coffee table, a small table with two chairs. We had a TV on either side of a wall separating the bedroom and lounge areas. Two bathrooms, one was a wetroom, the other had a shower over the bath.
We had Room Service, as with the table it was easy to eat in the room.
There was a large restaurant and bar area. This place was a real find, an excellent location, a lovely hotel abience and wonderful rooms.
