We all make appointments, massages, nails done, hair cut, dentist, the list goes on………………
But, how do you feel it the business contacts you and cancels? It is OK to cancel in advance or on the day? Does it depend why they are cancelling? I have sympathy if the person is ill.
What if they are running late, what is acceptable? 15 minutes, 30 minutes, over an hour? Does it depend on the of your appointment is 15 minutes acceptable for a 2 hour appointment, but not for a 30 minutes appointment?
Last week, I had an appointment cancelled as the person was sick, they rang the day before. I reschedule for the following week, but when I arrived for the 45 minutes appointment, I was greeted by someone else who said the hairdresser was running 45 to 60 minutes late, for my 45 minutes appointment, but I could cancel if I wanted with no charge and they would give me a discount. I did cancel, but I had travelled 45 minutes to get there, so in rush hour I spent 2 hours driving for no reason.
