You are in a hotel and the room next door starts making lots of noise, what do you do?
We tend to try not to complain, but when is enough enough?
Twice recently, I have stayed in hotels where I have been woken in the night by the noise from other rooms. When you hear noises, what do you do?
Our problems were both the same, people arriving at the hotel late at night, after we had gone to bed. These people were obviously in group as there were loud conversations, shouting, banging doors etc.
We tried to sleep and waited, the first time it was over 90 minutes and we went out to Reception to tell them. They offered us a different room, which we originally refused, who wants to move in the middle of the night?
We went for a drive out, came back and they hadn’t sorted it, so we had to sleep in another room. They told us we should have told them sooner.
At the next hotel we just told them to be quiet and they were.
On check out both hotels told us when it first happened we should have rang them, but is that not a bit too soon.?
But, then again, how long is too long?
