Does Social Media mean a loss of social skills?

Most of us have a Social Media presence these days, I am guessing that if you are reading this, you have one, but it seems in the world when it is easier to stay in touch and get in touch people have lost social skills.

Friends not only call and text each other but also use messenger and Whatsapp, but what do you do if friends don’t respond? Do you keep calling and messaging, to check they are OK, or do you give up?

What if you find your “friend” has blocked you from calling? Do you call them and ask why? Or leave it and delete them from your records?

If they delete you from Facebook, do you ask why? If they block you on Facebook, do you question that? Sometimes people block you from seeing anything they have done, but keep you as a friend,  do they think you won’t notice?  What do they think you will do? What should you do? I am not talking about acquaintances here, but friends who you have regular seen and spoken to and gone out with.

People who do this need to think would they do that to you in person, if they saw you walking towards them would they block your way or blank them? I doubt it, so why do they think it is acceptable in a virtual world, or were they just playing at being a virtual friend……………………
