Don’t say you don’t like – if you haven’t tried it

I hadn’t been there for a while and when I visited this week, I wondered why?

The place is the National Theatre. We booked easily and there isn’t really a bad seat in the house.

The quality of the work is excellent. We saw Jack Absolute Flies Again, it was a great comedy, by the same writers of One Man Two Guvnors.

I have been thinking why do I not visit more often and I think it is because the National has a reputation of being a bit stuffy and showing high brow plays. This is a myth, they show a variety of different genres.

We arrived with seconds to spare, due to bad traffic, but the staff were still great with us and didn’t rush us. They even allowed me to use the toilet, they came in the toilets to check for people before starting the show.

We didn’t have time for a drink or anything before the show. In the interval I bought a Diet Coke, a programme and two ice-creams. It was £15.50 which by London price  is reasonable.  There is also a Car Park, which cost us £11 again a good price for London, I think if you go in the evening it is cheaper.

Have you been to the National? If you like theatre, why not? I would say give it a try. I doubt you will be disappointed. They even have special deals for Amex Members. “this is not an advert and I am not affiliated to Amex”
