Is TripAdvisor Useful?

Last year, I visited a Hotel and had an OK stay, but not the best stay ever, mainly because I was promised things on check-in that never materialised during the stay or that I was told I wasn’t getting a few hours later.

Having wrote a Trip Advisor review, as I always do, I have almost 1,000 reviews on there, I was contacted by one of the Managers from the Hotel. He wanted to make amends on my next stay.

He certainly did make amends, not only did he upgrade us to a Suite, the Suite gave us Complimentary Breakfast, which was really lovely. We were also given a credit of £50 towards Food and Beverage.

This gesture has made a massive different to us. In 2021 we stayed at this hotel a few times. Last year we stayed twice, after the disappointment we didn’t stay again.

Now I can’t wait to stay again, this hotel is now my favourite hotel in London.

I would always write to make a complaint, if the company hadn’t dealt with it on site. I would never leave just a bad Trip Advisor Review but sometimes leaving a bad review alerts the hotel to the issues.

An old boss of mine used to say that a complaint is a gift, it is a chance to correct anything you are doing wrong……………sometimes that is true.
