When you hear of something new, how often do you think – “that’s not my sort of thing?”
We all do it and then we hear reports that people love it. The thing we didn’t want to try. What do you do then? Do you go and try it, or do you think people have different taste than us?
This happened to us with Mamma Mia The Party. We heard all about it when it first opened, and we thought “that’s not for us. It doesn’t sound like something we would enjoy.”
We had seen Mamma Mia, the original London show when it first opened and again soon after. We hadn’t liked the first film but really enjoyed the second film – maybe we need to revisit the first one again. The thought of spending on Mamma Mia The Party didn’t sound worthwhile to us.
Then a couple of months ago we decided we would give it a go. We booked and we went during the week, and it was a great night out.
It was worth every penny, the show which is immersive was excellent, all the cast amazing. The food was excellent, and all the staff were a credit to the place.
We have gone from not thinking this was our thing to booking to go back again. You can safely say – it is our sort of thing!
