Do you remember the days when you arrived at a hotel and there was a car park or even more importantly, it was free?
I understand that hotels in city centres like London and New York don’t have car parks and that land is expensive. I am really not expecting to park my car at a city centre Hotel.
However, when I arrive at a hotel that has a car park and, in some cases, a hotel in it’s own grounds, I am not expecting to pay for parking. Hotels used to be pleased to have your business and I know there has been a pandemic, but some of these hotels feel like they are doing you a favour by letting you park in their car park, even when they are charging, in some cases, £25.
I only parked for about 10 minutes in a hotel car park recently, before moving my car and when I complained about some other matters their comments were we have waived your car park fee! I think £25 is a bit steep for 10 minutes in any car park and it makes parking in London and New York look like a bargain.

Do you think you should have to pay for it?
If you think people should be paying, what do you consider reasonable?
