So you book a hotel room and you pay the nightly rate, but what do you expect for your money?
Do you expect your room serviced every day? I certainly do, unless I choose not to have it serviced.
I expect clean towels, bins emptied and beds made, but do you remember when your room, especially the bathroom, used to be cleaned?
Now, you are lucky if a room is cleaned every day. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t make it dirty, but I expect some sort of standards and in the hotel I stayed in most recently, towels were changed and beds made every day, but rooms were only cleaned if you stayed for five days or more.
Although we are trying to keep the room clean, it appears some parts just seem like they need a bit of a clean. So when did cleaning stop? It would seem a bit silly if it was after the pandemic, but it would appear so. And has the price reduced due to the lack of cleaning? I don’t think so. In fact, it seems like prices have sky-rocketed, but not having rooms cleaned isn’t going to attract customers.
What about the products provided? We recently had really poor quality towels provided, the sort I wouldn’t use at home and I wouldn’t even donate to the animal shelter.
I am not sure what we can do about this, but I guess all you can do is comment in reviews you leave and perhaps change will come.

I expected better than this

for £308 per night!!
