Should I stay or should I go?

Do go to the theatre or cinema?

Have you ever started to watch your film, play or show and realised this is not what you thought it was going to be?  It is not what you expected!

What do you do? Do you walk out?

If it is the theatre do you wait until the interval and not return?

I must admit, if I am really hating something I don’t go back. Life is too short to waste on something you don’t want to do.

I have once left a show in the interval, we were a party of four and we all left as the show was awful. However, I think there were 12 in the cast and 15 in the audience. I think there was a law that there had to be more in the audience than in the cast, but I guess the second half went ahead 🙂

More recently, we were watching a play and had complimentary interval ordered. Almost as we sat down, we decided we weren’t going back in, I was drinking my drink and making a swift exit, the other drink could be transported home, as it was unopened.

A couple came and asked if they could share our table, we said yes and they went on to say are you enjoying the play – what did we reply – oh yes! Why did we do that? Why couldn’t we be honest and say no we are not and we are not going back in.
