Small theatres or larger theatres

I prefer the smaller theatre than a big venue.  There are lots of great large theatres in London and around the Country but there are some great small theatres.

My favourite smaller theatre in Central London is The Other Palace. It was previously owned by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and it has been recently purchased by Bill Kenwright.

I was a regular at this theatre, pre-pandemic. It has a main theatre and a studio theatre. It was the home of new musicals, many shows were showcased and tried out here. The studio also had plays and cabarets. It will be interesting to see how the new management runs the theatre now and how the Studio is used.

Do you like smaller theatres? What would you like to see at a smaller theatre or studio:?
