I am all for up and coming bands etc. but I am sick of booking to see a Headline Act, only to find they don’t come on until much later in the evening.
If I knew in advance I would plan, if I still wanted to go or if I wanted to see the support act but you don’t get the chance.
Do you remember when you bought a ticket and you got to see the artist from 7:30pm to after 10:00pm?
I remember going to see George Michael at Wembley and Gloria Estefan at Wembley, neither of them had support.
I went to see Michael Jackson at Aintree and Kim Wilde was support, but I knew that before I went.
Most recently, I bought tickets for a concert and the venue is difficult to park at, so we were most likely going to have to arrive at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start. Just a few days before the concert I found out that the artist didn’t actually come on until 9.00pm and therefore as we didn’t want to see the support we would have had to entertain ourselves for over 2 hours, most likely in the bar.
I keep saying this but I honestly think my days of going to concerts are over.
