When you think of The Ivy, what do you think of? Do you think of a restaurant regularly used by celebrities, in Covent Garden, or do you think of a regular chain restaurant?
The Ivy was and still is a celebrity dining hangout in Central London. I have seen many a celebrity going in and out of there, but never been in myself, although it is on my to do list. However I wonder how special it is these days.
There are many versions of The Ivy, called The Ivy Collection Restaurants, Brasseries and Café’s. I occasionally eat at some of them and I like them, but I can’t help but think they detract from what I would class at the Real “Ivy”.
What is your opinion? Happy to eat in either, don’t care or think they detract from their iconic restaurant?
