There are lots of different theme or speciality hotels. There was hotels with spas. Character themed hotels and hotels in theme parks.
However, my latest stay was at a hotel with a theatre in the grounds. This is the only hotel I know like this.
It is Kilworth House Hotel. Our stay was just great. Our room was ready, although we arrived early. We were in an Accessible room and it was just great, loads of room, an amazing bathroom and a view of the woods. It is very rural there. The hotel is old and the rooms and corridors are in keeping with the old rural setting.
We had a pre-theatre meal, including in the room rate. The food was great, service let it down a little. but the food is the most important part of a meal!
The theatre is great, just a few minutes away from the hotel and outdoors, with a cover. The show was amazing, Half A Sixpence.
We have been here a few times and the show has always been great with top class performers.
I highly recommend this hotel and there is also a Spa, for those of us who like a treatment.
