My recent experience at a hotel I had used before was disappointing.
If you had this, would you go back again? Complain, leave them a bad review or do nothing?
I like this hotel overall, and it is useful, but our last stay was a shambles.
We arrived 45 minutes after the official check-in time, only to find our room wasn’t ready. We were told to wait 15 minutes and we did, only to have to check back with them to learn, they had made up the wrong room and it would be another 30 minutes. Not a great start!
Eventually, the room was ready, we were given two drinks vouchers to make up for the issue. We were also given a free nights parking, as a Blue Badge holder. The room was amazing and we could not have had a better room.
In this hotel, you are sort of a captive audience, as there is nothing nearby and it is eat in the restaurant, room service or bring your food with you – which isn’t really an option. The service in the restaurant is awful and when we asked for the Service Charge to be removed we were told only the manager can do this. Our response, well see the Manager then. What would you have said?
It wasn’t a great start but the room was amazing and it is convenient, at least for us.
On returning to pick up our car we had more issues. The Concierge wouldn’t help with the bags or the wheelchair, despite being asked by the cab driver. He was quite rude about my husband, who uses the wheelchair, the driver and I managed to sort it though. Then the other came to help – too late I told him. There was an inquest into if I had paid for the parking, which I had and we weren’t allow to use the luggage trolley, although other guests were……………..
So would you return to this hotel?

Nope, there are plenty of hotels that would be up to standard so kick this one into touch !
