We have been out and about watching a variety of shows, over the last few weeks.
We have an eclectic taste and therefore the things we have seen have been very different.
We saw two very outgoing musicals, Priscilla Queen of The Desert and Kinky Boots. Both are about acceptance and being who you are. On both occasions one of the main characters was the understudy. We overheard people saying they were going to ask for a refund because the person they had come to see wasn’t appearing in the show – good luck with that 🙂 The casts we saw were all amazing and if the “leads” had been on, I don’t think they would have been any better, as the shows were both just perfect.
We also went to see a play Inter Alia, a thought provoking subject. It was just as entertaining, but in a different way.
There is room for all sorts of entertainment out there. I know some people can’t understand how people who love theatre can also love football. Personally I don’t understand why they wouldn’t – it’s all entertaining.
