Have you ever tried to buy tickets for a concert or a theatre show and been able to see the tickets but not be able to buy them? It is normally because you want to buy 3 and they don’t want to leave one empty seat, or sometimes it is because you want 2 tickets and would leave an empty seat, either way to me it doesn’t seem right.
More recently I have been trying to book a hotel room, for one or two nights and finding no availability or only rooms available that charge £1,200 per night!I
I am a regular at the hotel, so knowing hotels normally don’t book out all their rooms I enquired if they had any rooms available and I was told there was nothing available.
We are Loyalty Members and we are guaranteed a room, if booked 72 hours in advance, so we tried calling Head Office to use that perk but we were told we couldn’t do that as the hotel had stipulated they were only taking booking for 3 nights or longer, although it didn’t say that on the website.
I think this is so wrong, at least the theatres are being up front about ticket sales but hotels are pretending they are fully booked and then releasing rooms last minutes at inflated prices.
